If it's operating fine after 15 years I would assume you're doing something right so I don't think radiation leakage would be something you'd have to worry about. I had my old microwave for 17 years before I got a new one . It still worked, just I got tired of the old model . Maybe you should invest in a new microwave though, they have lots of perks and are much easier to use .

The microwave I used to use was at least 15yrs old, and was the best microwave we ever had. Since that died, we have had about 5 in the past 8 to 10yrs cause they aren't built to last anymore. Stay with the old one as long as ya can and if worried about it, take it to a repair store and have it checked out for any faults

When in doubt, always choose the safer route. If I where you, I would go ahead and by a new one. I don't know much about microwaves, but I'm pretty sure that during those 15 years, the manufacturers ended up designing a more efficient microwave. It may even help reduce your electricity bill, but that's just a guess.
pawn your old one and use that money to reduce the cost for a new one.

As long as the case is in good shape, I would just keep using it. Newer microwaves may have some better features, but as long as it works for you, I see no reason to get a new one. If you just got to have a newer model, don't throw away the old one. Move it to another room, such as a game or family room and use it to pop popcorn.

So many people don't get this-- there are several kinds of "radiation". There's ionizing radiation-- like uranium which will kill you and cause cancer, Then there's the more common radiation that is basically the emission of light-- the monitor you're looking at does it as does your light bulb. Your microwave radiates microwaves in the same way. If you don't literally feel them, they aren't hurting you any more than your light bulb is.

I would continue to use it until it seems to lose power. My Grandpa's microwave has to be over 20 years old and he's fine. As long as the casing is in good shape, not worn or cracked, then you are in good shape.

I wouldn't worry. You only think it might be working fine. If you bought a new, you'd see how much faster it would heat

Run that thing into the ground, it sounds like you got a good one. As long as it works, you should be a-o-k.
