Even though the word "teen" is at the end of 18, you are considered (in the eyes of the law) an adult. But when it comes to your parents, it swings back and forth all the time. One minute they will treat you like a teen and the next tell you to grow up and act like an a adult. Besides you will only be a "boring adult" to teens. Most adults don't think they are boring but their children do.

Legally, you're an adult.

Of course you're still a teenager though, and regardless of what the law says, 18 is still a kid. It is not mature, it is still a part of adolescence.

Adulthood is far from boring. Trust me, in time you wlil discover how much better it is to be an adult, and come to appreciate it.

At 18 you are still a teenager, but you now have many adult responsibilities.

Maturity does not happen over night when one has a birthday, its a gradual process.

In the USA, according to the Constitution, you are not considered completely grown up until you are 35 years old.

It's a strange thing...you still think you're a teenager...and you will, for several years yet.
But you want adult rights and responsibilities.
And then, it shocks you when other teenagers don't recognize you as one of their own any more. They just want you to use your ID to buy them things you know you shouldn't, but you do, cuz you still wanna be popular.
And then (horrors) your zits begin to clear up, and you know the end has come...

By law, boring grown up...aka adult...

My opinion...still just a kid. Now, I didn't think I was at that age, but true. Still just a teenager.

But don't let that get you down! Enjoy your youth!!!

When I was a child I had considered eighteen year olds to be "boring" adults. Now that I am sixteen, I realize that in reality eighteen year olds usually still have some growing up to do.

If you feel like doing what you did when you were in high school, you are more teen. If you want to settle down, get a job, get a home, etc., then you are more of an adult.
