Jesus said...

John 16:33 I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world."

God promised us that we would have troubles in this world. As long as your troubles are not coming from disobedience then you just have to do your best to do what James wrote.

James 1:2 Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, 3 for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. 4 And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.

God uses trials to make us more patient and to keep us dependent upon Him and to seek Him in prayer.

1 Peter 1:6 In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by various trials, 7 so that the tested genuineness of your faith--more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire--may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.

1 Peter 5:6 Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, 7 casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.

8 Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. 9 Resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same kinds of suffering are being experienced by your brotherhood throughout the world. 10 And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you. 11 To him be the dominion forever and ever. Amen.

Philippians 4:6 do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. 8 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. 9 What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me--practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.

I am glad that you are going to church and tithing, but I'm sorry you're still having problems. It would be helpful to know what type of problems though to know how to answer. Anyway. God doesn't just want us to show up for an hour or two once a week and put money in a basket. He wants our whole hearts. It certainly doesn't help us to go to church one day, and then act nothing like Christians every other day of the week, right? Following Christ is nothing like magic. It's not like "I believe" and then *poof* everything is great. It's not always easy following Jesus, but it's always worth it.

My best advice knowing as little as I do: Make sure you are committed to Jesus. Make sure you don't have things/activities in your life that are bringing you down spiritually. And pray!!

Going to church and being faith in your tithe is good. If you are a member of the church you attend and it's a Bible-believing Protestant congregation then I recommend you speaking to your elders. Otherwise I would look for a good church.

Now regarding your question. God blesses us in different ways. If you remember the Apostle Paul had a "a thorn in the flesh" and prayed three times that it was removed and when it wasn't to realized that God had a purpose for it.

2 Cor. 12:10
Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

The truth is that a Christian walk is no guarintee of wealth and success. You may remember that Jesus spoke of picking up your cross and following Him. In fact it is often a hard life - but it has it's spiritual rewards in this life and that which is to come.

It's a test from God. Are you truly submitting yourself to Him? It's more than just taking part in a religious get together on Sundays or tithing and giving charity.

Are you trying to manipulate God by doing all of those things? I don't know what your problems are, but you need to talk to God about them and maybe some friends. Perhaps you need to make some changes in your life? Perhaps you are suffering the consequences of your decisions. Just because times are tough, doesn't mean God doesn't love you and have a plan for your life.

My Dear Sister In Christ, I truly understand your question. We have all been at that point . The most important thing it that you listen to the Lord. Don't just pray and ask him for help, sometimes we just need to listen. I truly believe God has something in store for you. Maybe it is only to grow in your faith but you hang in there remember God loves you and he doesn't ask anything of us we can't do. Listen to the song Word of God Speak ! It sure helps me

I don't believe in God, so I don't believe he can solve anything. What I do believe is that YOU can take a pro-active stance to improve your life. What things can be improved on? How can you do it? Would it help if you changed to a more positive outlook?

Hebrews 10:24-25 - "enable us to evaluate the thank you to stimulate one yet another to love and stable deeds, not abandoning our own assembling together, as is the habit of a few yet encouraging one yet another; and all of the greater as you spot the Day coming near." We do could desire to collect with different believers to assist one yet another. however the church development is merely one place that we are in a position to try this. the hot testomony Church met in properties on an universal basis and in a while they ended up hiding in catacombs, that are underground tunnels for tombs. God nonetheless touched many lives there. We do could desire to seek for God in prayer and interpreting the Bible regularely, on an universal basis if accessible. it incredibly is like foodstuff for our spirits. as quickly as we don't feed our spirits they get susceptible. we could desire to consistently not could desire to count on somebody else to try this the two. I consider you, many church homes sense pretend to me. I even have felt the Spirit pass in not likely places greater effective than in church homes recently. some could desire to bypass, they choose the form that those church homes can supply. yet that doesn't mean all could desire to bypass. some won't be in a position to, they are homebound. Others conflict with being in specific circumstances, like being around crowds. Others have problems that human beings in church homes don't comprehend, yet thank God He is familiar with. This guilt trip that some could positioned on people who do not decide for regardless of reason in hassle-free terms provides to the themes that they could have. Pushing guilt journeys on those human beings isn't a thank you to teach the affection of God.
