Any color is a good wedding color if you love the color. You don't want to pick something trendy and look back years later thinking Ugh why did I pick that color?
If you like bright--go with something bright. I had coral and turquoise with a lot of lime green as my wedding colors. It was very tropical and gorgeous. A lot of people use red or bright pink. Prince/Princess I think silver which makes me think a dark color like Navy blue. But I also think of Cinderella blue. Neither are necessarily "bright" colors though. Yellow is a beautiful color though and is so sunny and happy.
What is your favorite color? Then go with a color that compliments that. What colors look good on your bridesmaids? Don't pick something that will make your maids look horrible in your pictures.

Prince and princess, you think royalty. Colors of royalty are rich colors, such as gold and dark purple. I had an outside wedding and these were my colors. I couldn't decide on colors either. It may be easier to go shopping for bridesmaids dresses first and find the dresses you like and pick the colors from there. Otherwise, it may be hard to pick a color then go in search for a dress. I wanted coral, but I had a hard time finding any dresses in coral. So we found the dresses all the girls liked and pick gold out of the colors it came in. The way I picked purple was from our cake topper. It was our initials and they had rhinestones in our birthstone colors. Mine is amethysts. If you'd like to see pictures, e-mail me.

I went to a wedding recently where the bride did look like a princess. She had a ball-type gown, long sleeves and a high sparkly tiara held her veil. Also she had 8 (eight !) bridesmaids. Her groom wore a tuxedo with white vest and white tie, all groomsmen wore black tuxes, black vests, bow ties. She asked each of her bridesmaids what their favorite color was and then gave them permission to "go for it" - she only asked that the dresses be floor length and NOT full like her gown. And no sequins or glitter. It was breathtaking! She gave each girl a ring of flowers for their hair in same color as their dress and her own bouquet was huge and long and held all the colours as well. When they gathered for the photos it looked like an exotic botanical garden! Lovely. Oh, yes, there were two little 5 yr.old flower girls who wore floor length white dresses with bright pink waistbands and long trailing ribbons same colour down the back, white daisy-rings in their hair. They carried white baskets with same bright flowers as bride.

You are going royalty? Purple is the color of royalty. So, anything from dark plums and then up the color scale to lavender, and even periwinkle blue. Check out knot.com for the ideas in blues and purples. Some very elegant beautiful colors. Also, SILVER.

What time of the year is your wedding? I am assuming it is in the Spring or Summer. Let the season guide your colours if Spring use pale colours and if summer slightly brighter colours. Instead of all one colour why not have a rainbow of blue, pink, yellow, green (each bridesmaid with a different colour) What a unique way to start your life full of colour.

My wedding colors are Tiffany Blue with yellow and pink accents. I thought Tiffany Blue was such an original color when I thought of it. Turns out it's very common actually. Oh well!!

Well, with the theme you have chosen, how could you not go with baby blue and baby pink. Can't see where elegance would fit in....

Baby blue, white and silver. Those colors will be beautiful for an outdoor princess/prince theme.
