Two months ago my gf and I broke up because I betrayed her trust. I have really had a hard time with the break up. I never really realized how much I had loved her until it was over. I had a lot of issues of my own from a divorce I had went through about 2 years before meeting her that really affected my attitude in how I treated her and our relationship. Anyway, I have really gotten more involved with my church and it has made a huge difference in my life. It tears me up that I can’t ever go back and change things between me and her. To show her the love I always had for her and how much I admired her for the person she was. I really wished, prayed and had hoped that this change would have made a difference in my relationship with her. Sometimes though, things just don’t work out the way we want for them to. The positive thing is, it got me back on track with my faith in God and helped me to realize that I need him in my life more than ever

. Between my relationship loss and bible study at church, I have really learned about the importance of commitment, love and faith. These things mean so much to me now, both in my relationship with God and with the people I love. I have learned so much about compassion and kindness and how important it is to care for the people you love and give them 100% of your love and attention. This has totally changed my life forever and while I can't go back and change the past, as much as I wish I could. I have been given the opportunity to learn from this and be a better person. What did it take for you to realize you were becoming someone you didn’t like, someone that was ruining their life and that they needed to make changes and get back on track before it was to late?

I never said I had sex with another woman. Christians don't claim to be perfect, we realize we're all sinners. Being Christian means, you accepted Jesus as your savior, not that you are perfect and don't do wrong.

Another DUI, drug and alcohol addictions, lost my job, a botched suicide attempt, some jail time....

"You never know God is all you need, until God is all you have."

I always hope and pray that no one ever has to hit rock bottom as hard as I did to find God.

Kudos for you. While breaking up with someone you love is always heartbreaking and hard to get over it sounds like you really used your situation to make you into a stronger, better person instead of letting it destroy. I think that's wonderful. I too found myself spiralling down a dark path after breaking up with my bf about a year ago. I don't really want to go into details but it wasn't very pretty and I found myself doing things that had originally been against my moral fiber. Well I got a pretty big wake up call a couple months later and realized that I didn't want to be like this. So I made a change. Luckily I pulled out before I could do anything that completely ruined me and the only person I ended up hurting during this time period was myself. the experience caused me to grow up a lot and now I'm with a man I love dearly and who accepts that part of my life without question. In fact I find I'm able to love and cherish him even more because of my experience. And I'm sure it will be the same with you. After all "that which does not destroy us only makes us stronger." May you be blessed on your journey.

A break up!
I never knew that in the time that I was with my boyfriend I changed so much. I'm not really sure if I changed for him, because of him, or why? .... All I know is that in the time I was with him, I had problems with my family, my friends and school.
I was always a straight As student and while I was with him I almost failed a semester.
My friends kept telling me I had changed, but I didn't wanted to listen.
I kept getting in weird arguments with my family because of him.
Then one day he cheated on me, and I realized that all the things I did for him were in vain!
After all the things I had done, he had the nerve to cheat. So I said to my self that I am better than that, that my life can go on with out him, and promised myself I would get back on track.
Because of my mother I've always had strong belief in God. So I started to see all the things that in that period of time I messed up, and now I am happy with who I am.
I have great friends, a wonderful family, and a life I wouldn't change for anything.

I don't know if I'm on the track you mean but before I found out I was pregnant I was going down hill really fast about to slam into a brick wall. One day I was looking at my calender and said wait I'm 5 days late. I went out and got a pregnancy test and it came back positive I cried for about 3 hours straight picked myself up and sorted everything out. I knew what my choices were and even though I'm pro choice I couldn't do it and I knew carrying this baby to term I would get to attached. So I changed everything cut everyone out who was dragging me down with them and started getting back where I needed to be. I hit some bumps once in awhile but I'm at a good place.

There is no track you need to follow Shite happens. Reality is brutal. Here in the states most people are sheltered from reality thats why we have bozos like you whining about some love interest.

You have a roof over your head...youre doing well enough to afford a computer and an internet connection...so get over yourself buddy. sheesh.

Well I've hit a few bumps in the road. God was always calling be back. At first I didn't listen but shortly after I obeyed him. For my husband it was our children he realized life wasn't a party anymore.

an abusive boyfriend... but that relationship helped me to realize I had deep issues that needed healing. I went on to acknowledge the abuse from my childhood and heal from that. My beliefs have been the core of my healing.

For an atheist as myself to go back on track means: To discard all false ideas of gods or devil and supernatural nonsense!.... Then you truly become responsible for your own life!
