the mayan calendar will end on 12-21-12, then it will start over. Just like our calendars end and then start over on January 1. God bless.

The Mayan calendar ends, then restarts. Some people think that the world will end as the Mayans had advanced astronomical knowledge for their time (they knew of the Moon's 27,000 year cycle for example). My guess is that it will be just the same as the last 10,000 times the world was supposed to end. Cheers.

The Earth will be struck by a giant meteor! The seas will boil! All 'intelligent' life will be extinguished in the blink of an eye! Some insects will survive. Running for your lives will not help!

In other words, nothing out of the ordinary.

December 21, that's the Japanese emperor's birthday, and if the world ends in 2012, that'd be one hell of a party for him.

The London Olympics. I highlight SUPPOSED to happen. It all depends whether anyone can be bothered to pay extra tax for it.

Oh, and the world's gonna end. Maybe. Depends whether anyone can be bothered to start a nuke war.

We COULD get peaceful and prove the Mayans wrong, though.

Once someone claims that the end of the world or some catastrophic event will happen on a specific date you can be sure that it won't.
