The 'last rites' are not mentioned in The Bible. This is yet another MAN-made *tradition*. These 'last rites' will NOT get anyone into Heaven. It is a *total* waste of time! The catholics made up ALL of these 'rules' and traditions in the DARK ages, to keep poeple in-*line*!-----and to rape them of their MONEY and household goods.
I just don't understand WHY people just don't *get this*!

I don't think they are in the Bible is a specific format but half of the phrase "ashes to ashes, dust to dust" comes from this verse.
Genesis 3:19 By the sweat of your face you shall eat bread, till you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken; for you are dust, and to dust you shall return."

I don't believe the last rights ARE in the Bible. They are part of church ritual.

It isn't. Man added that as part of their ritual so it isn't something Jesus set down for us to follow.
