I would not anything can happen . what if something should happen like a fire starting and you were not able to get there in time . My dog is treated like my kid and I would never leave one of my kids alone overnight. good luck .

My dogs have been left alone at night.
On a couple of occasions I have had to go to the hospital over night for a sleep apnea test.. I made sure they were out just be fore I left (about 7PM) and then they went out when I got home at 7AM that was 12 hours alone in the house - they are use to that. sometimes I have to be at work that long.
I also have left my dogs at home if I worked an overnight shift at the volunteer ambulance shift.
Are your dogs familiar with being alone for periods of time during the day?
The issue is not that it will be at night but:
How long
Are they use to being alone
If they bark will they bother other people when "quit hours" are in effect?

Depends.... does this dog live indoors? Is he potty trained? If so, do you have a dog door or something where he can go outside to go to the bathroom? Does this dog have any medical problems? Does he have access to water and food if you can't give it to him before you leave?

If the dog lives indoors, is potty trained with a dog door, doesn't have medical problems where you need to be there, has water and food, then yes he should be ok for one night.

Time frame?

You do realize your dog may have to use the bathroom at some point, right?
