This answer could be long, but i'll try to make it short.
your cells need water to work properly, burn and assimilate nutrients. Also, they need it to discard waste products (dissoloved). when you drink little water, cells slow down their metabolism and "cleaning" process , which accumulates waist. The accumulation of waist further slows down your metablism, and the cycle goes on. That is not good if your trying to lose weight because it means your body is burning less calories than it should! You also crave food more when you are dehydrated than if you're not. So, if you feel like you want to eat, and you shouldn't be hugry at the time, you probably need to drink water, so go get some.

For one thing it helps keep you full so you don't eat and it flushes fat and toxins that hold onto fat out of your body. Some times when you think you are hungry, you may really be dehydrated. If you drink an 8 oz. glass of water when you feel hungry, it might just satisfy you.
