Recently my father broke his leg. I have been to the hospital to visit and when he went home I was there to help him in. I later received a voice mail from my father asking if I knew where 5 of his tools were. I called him back and told him I didn't know. Later in the conversation I realized that he was not saying tools but he was saying "pills", oxycontine or loritab to be exact. Apparently I am being accused of taking some of his pain medication. I am very hurt and offended plus this is not like I am being blamed for taking a pack of gum. These are serious accusations.
I do not know what to do. I did not and would not do this and I have been upset all day that I am being accused of this. I never thought my parents would think I would ever do this. I am a college grad, an adult, I try to be a good person. I am confused and I need some advise.

Volunteer to take a drug test. Then when you are cleared of this tell them how disappointed you are in them and that you wont look at them the same again (because you wont).

i'd just say to them i don't what happen to your pills. that you resent the fact that they would think that you would take them and who do they think you are. because apparently you are not the son they raised, if they believed you would do a thing like this, because you would never do this and you RESENT them thinking that you would. you don't have to prove anything to them. it's as simple as I DID NOT TAKE YOUR PILLS and if you think i did, you are not the parents i thought you were. where is the trust, when i say i didn't do something as an adult and you don't believe me? i feel betrayed and devastated by you. if i can't expect my parents to believe me in life, how can I expect anyone else to believe me??? You are a disappointment to me.

well sometimes this can happen. it could have been misplaced but remember there are kids that steal stuf flike that and take them. i am sureif you go and talk to them more about it and tell them that you would never do that it would end maybe they know now who did it.
