If your dog gets stressed easily and you will be flying for more than 3 hours, ask your vet for a sedative prescription.

Practice taking your dog to as many different types of places as you can with your do in the carrier that she will be in on the plane.

Is this a private flight because most charters will have to put the dog in the hold? I think you need to consult a vet.

If you go to the airline website, you will see that they recommend that you don't give your dog anything before a flight.. It is much harder on them to be drugged up... Unless your dog is a stressed little freak who is going to lose it, you shouldn't give the dog anything.
