This stuff is GREAT!!
Pureology Antifade Complex "Shinemax". Just a few drops into towel-dried hair. Be sure to blow dry your hair after, otherwise it will look a bit greasy. I also color my hair a lot and when I use this stuff and blow dry my hair straight, it really works - and it keeps the frizziness down. Try it!! I think you have to get it in a salon that sells Pureology products.

I love answering this question because the remedy is incredibly simple:

After you've washed and conditioned in warm (not hot) water, rinse.

Then cool down the water a bit and rinse again. If your hair hangs down your neck or back, be sure to pick it up and rinse from underneath. Squeeze out the warm water and let the cool water replace it.

Then cool down the water a bit more and rinse again. Same process, rinsing from the underneath and replacing the warm water in your hair with cooler water.

One more time, making the water as cool as you can stand it.

After you've washed, towel dry from the scalp. Sandwich the hair between the towel and squeeze, don't rub. You're wicking the moisture out.

Allow to air dry for as long as you dare before grabbing the blow-dryer.

Why it works: a strand of human hair is not smooth under a microscope, it actually resembles fish scales if you get my meaning. It's layers on top of layers. When you use hot water or a hot hair dryer, those "scales" stand up. The hair then has a dull look because it's a rough texture.

When they're cool, they lay flat and that's what gives your hair a great shine.

I've been doing this for years and I frequently get comments on how shiny my hair is. My shampoo and conditioner are both Suave. I don't use gels, mousse or sprays of any kind. Just wash, condition, rinse.

Enjoy!

There are shine products in the stores but I just rinse my hair well in cold water after shampooing, and it works. There are herbal rinses you could try as well which wouldn't harm your hair or remove the dye - rosemary infusion for dark hair and camomile infusion for blonde hair. Just add boiling water to the herb, let it cool down and then pour it over. Cheap, too!

Don't wash it too often.. Every other day is good enough..If you use styling product use a bit of baking soda in the water to get the residue out... Brush your hair before you go to bed to distribute your hairs natural oils.. Good luck

Our bodies......our hair..............NEED OIL............wonder what EFA's are? Essential fatty acid's?/???? they are oils and a very necessary part of life and a healthy body......
Try one of 2 tricks...........
there is "pre" treatment............where you apply about 1/4 Cup Sesame oil all over the hair massage lighlty in the lengths.....not so much the roots........
leave on for an hour...........then shower and shampoo normally........
your hair should rock.........
now I will bet you have a shampoo with SLS in it...........sodium lauryl sulfate...........check its ingredients or anthing that's even close to that...ALS ammonium lauryl sulfate as well........they are all HORRIFIC on the hair..........
you must invest in a better shampoo Sulfate-Free..........what type of color do you use? If you do it yourself if you use a kit then there is one more reason............
there are a million and one reasons for dull hair..........
