Done that, been there! What is so different about denominations? They all believe that Jesus was sent to save the world, and that He is victorious, and then turn around and say that most of mankind will be tortured in pain and torment, in hell, for an eternity. Does that make Jesus truly victorious? God says in the Bible that our lives are like a mere vapor to Him. So what justice is there in an eternity of torment and pain, to a mere vapor of life of sin? Even as carnal human flesh and blood, we are merciful enough to fit the punishment to the crime. Could we cast our own children into a fiery fire for being disobedient for an eternity? No, we abhor even the thought of it. But we expect God to do what we abhor. Now, to answer your question,....no, there is nothing in any denomination that interests me, that is different, so I don't visit any. I have never found a complete loving, merciful, compassionate. forgiving, and full of mercy Father in any. The Father I worship doesn't have a split personality.... Rom..1:25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the creator, who is blessed forever, Amen

When I was in my old churches youth group we studied different religions. We would study the religion one week and then go visit a church of that denomination the next week, but that was 40-45 years ago.

I've visited a Baptist and a Presbyterian church before, just because I happened to be in the area. It's no big deal to me because at my non-denominational church the Pastor preaches what the Bible tells us, that God only has one true church and it is the spiritual body of Christ here on earth made up of all born again believers.

1 Peter 2:4 As you come to him, a living stone rejected by men but in the sight of God chosen and precious, 5 you yourselves like living stones are being built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

I'm a lifelong Catholic, but I visit other churches all the time. Last week, I visited a Unitarian Universalist church.

If I get curious about a certain group's beliefs, whether that group is Christian or non-Christian, I figure that the best way to learn about their practices is to see those practices firsthand. Seeing them for myself sure beats listening to unfounded rumors about the various religious groups. If I'm curious, I go check them out. If I like them, I might go back and see them again.

I've been to Catholic churches, Fundie churches, a synagogue and even mosques. I haven't yet been to a Baha'i house of worship, because there is only one in the States. There aren't enough Baha'is to have a house of worship within every mile in residential neighborhoods like there are Christian churches.

Ah, but one day for sure.

All the Churches I've visited are of other denominations because my denomination has no Churches. Our definition of the "Church" is the believers who collectively are the Bride of Christ.

Hi Beth! The truth. The word of truth. I am a seeker of Bible truth. The Bible says you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free. Jesus says "sancticfy them through thy truth. Thy word is truth. Jesus said in John 14:6 "I am the way the truth and the life. No man comes to the Father but by me". A church should be centered in the message of Christ.

I don't know. I don't think that I would just not go to a church if there was no good reason. The body of Christ is the body of Christ no matter what church you are in. God Bless.

My wife would, cause she did.

I realize all the denominations are false, but I went with her (as I sometimes do) and I want to be polite, and the people are nice.

What I can't figure out is, how can people believe this stuff.
