We been together for two years and since I've known him this is his everyday ritual. I don't tell him about exes or guys trying to holla unless he asks, but lately I notice in response I've started replying with my own situations. I hate that. how do I get him to stop? Ignoring him is not helping. Why and how??? Help!!!

Yeah, it does sound like he is somewhat insecure..... and maybe has a sense of superiority as well. He is exaggerating about these ex-g/f's at your expense; he believes that you won't hold it against him. Exactly what is he afraid of? Does he think he has to build himself up to you or else he will be diminished in your eyes? Sounds like he is trying to impress you with his "superiority and desirability." Maybe you should tell him that you see him as he really is and not in the way that he wants women to see him. Tell him that you know he is not the highest guy on the totem pole, but that's okay with you.

Most guys that do this is just want a rise out of you and to see how insecure you are. If you been with him for two years, you should be used to it by now and it should be easier to ignore him. If you feel it's that much of a problem, let him go and tell him to go the ones that want him so bad.
