Not a simple answer at all, your trying to over simplify the greatest mystery of our God. He is One God in three persons, all of whom are spoken of in the Bible, so NO this is not made up doctrine from any one specific denomination. Every Christian denomination I know of believes in the Trinity~ God the Father, Jesus Christ (God made man), and The Holy Spirit. This is one of those things that is hard for us to wrap our minds around because we are not all knowing, nor do we have the capacity to understand fully this mystery.

One God made up of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. The 3 are intertwined into 1.

Your question can't be answered with a simple "one" or "three"...but I'll try to keep my answer as simple as possible.

The answer is both or neither. My God is one God...the one true God, the creator of the universe. He has revealed himself to the world (to me specifically) in three ways, God the Father (the creator), God the son (Jesus or "God in human skin"), God the spirit (the Holy spirit, or the aspect that reveals itself to people today...that provides knowledge and direction to living humans). He is one just as I am one person that incorporates various roles (mother, Christian, college professor).

3 in 1, God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit.

Did you know the Hebrew word for one that is used for God actually means 3?

I worship one God. The trinity is something it is confusing to a lot of human beings. I take no offense on your question because you weren't insulting in any way. in simple terms as I quite have distinctive roles in my existence, God has distinctive roles of the author, the savior, and the empowerment that keeps truthfully everyone working on a daily basis. i'm daughter, a fiance, and a chum. those are all distinctive roles with distinctive expectancies and responsiblities. yet, i'm nonetheless in basic terms one guy or woman. God has distinctive roles, yet he continues to be in basic terms one God. The secret of the trinity is that however i'm distinctive roles, i won't exist in 3 places on the comparable time, God can and does.

Okay, I can't answer that "simply". Because no one fully understands it.
Basically, He's like the color blue (or what ever color you want to think about) You can't just say that there's only one color of blue. There are thousands of different shades but they are all blue. = God (the color blue) has three "shades" Father, Son, Holy Spirit. I hope this analogy doesn't confuse you more! :)

The is yes. The Hebrew word El Ohiem is a Plural word, but is used here in this passage. We Believe in one God eternally existing as Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.

One God with three parts. It's a bit more complicated than just either one or three.
