Just came home from the grocery store. Got to the front of the building w/ a huge jug of tea & several bags in both hands. A group of no less than 5 guys was down there. None were older than 24. None of them did a thing to help me as I kept dropping the door on myself and having to put all my **** down to open the doors.

Another thing that happened in this building is we bought a new couch. We were struggling to bring it down the hall to get it in the elevator & healthy young man after another just wandered past. The thing is, what was obviously a homeless crackhead helped us get it out of our car & into the building w/out asking for anything.

Another thing about this place that annoys the crap out of me is we have a 10PM noise curfew, & apparently no one these days knows how to read a watch as on more than one occasion there have been loud wall shaking band practices going on until 12AM.

So basically, I think I live in a building filled w/ inconsiderate *******. What do you think?

they could be jerks. or they might be less helpful in groups. which means none of them wants to show they are soft. and about the noise. you need to look into moving elsewhere.

There are rude people everywhere you go today. There are also good people, I must say, but today in this world there are very many inconsiderate people that only think of themselves! I have a job that Im on the phones all day taking catalog orders, and it is my job to follow the guidelines, or I will loose my job, well people dont care, they are rude and make you rush through an order, and you have trouble trying to follow all the steps that your suppose to do and then you have lost all control over what the call should of consisted of because of them. I had a woman just last Friday, that was so rude, I went home got a migraine, and as a matter of fact I still have it. These people are stressful, and dont care about other peoples feelings, jobs, or in your case, cant even take a minute to help you when you need help. I wonder sometimes if children are taught manners anymore, or how some adults got to be adults and they are just inconsiderate to everyone else around them.

Well, in this day and age people will get yelled at for trying to help a woman with her belongings. Did you bother asking for assistance?

"We" bought a new couch. Who is "we"? Again, did you bother asking for help?

The 10pm curfew, call the cops or talk to the landlord about the noise.

Yes they were a bit inconsiderate, but I'm really wondering what your attitude is like during those occasions as well as everyday. You may be putting off an air of "don't touch me or help me" and therefore noone wanted to help you.

I disagree with Tony... if these are te kinds of inconsiderate people you're living near of COURSE you're going to get aggravated!! My 2 youngest boys are 9 and 10 years old and have been holding doors for ladies since they were 3.....It's all in the parenting, and lately, parents just aren't interested in doing their job.

Like really you do have a bunch of inconsiderate young men in your building ,, a gentleman would have done something to help you.

Well no offense but based on the tone and tenor of your question, you seem kinda angry and maybe not too friendly yourself.

Could you be putting off a negative vibe that others are picking up on, and therefore avoiding you like the Black Plague?

Just a thought....

Did you ask them to please help? It sounds simple, but sometimes, asking directly works. I wouldn't assume people aren't willing to help if you haven't asked them directly. If you know them or if you're in a small town, it's more common for people to volunteer to help in a situation like that. But in the city, people are generally more busy and don't want to "mind other people's business," so you might have to ask.

As for the noise, call your landlord and complain, and/or call the police.

yeah, at the very least they are not very neighborly or friendly.

but if they make noise after 10, call the cops on them. that's not a building policy, that's the law.
