I don't have time to get the links right now, but legal immigrants have a lower crime rate than born Americans, and illegal immigrants have a disproportionately higher crime rate. Those have both been established.
However, the answer to that one is to deport the bad ones, and deport on arrest those illegals arrested. However many there were, that should take care of it.

Just because a legal immigrant or a citizen may have committed a crime does not justify the illegals. We know they have committed a crime. It is a crime to enter illegally and everyone of them has done just that.

no one says that all illegals or no citizens commit crime, rather, they state that the rate of criminal activity among illegal immigrants is too high to be tolerated, and therefore serves as an additional reason to deport illegals. if the illegals were largely quakers, most people wouldn't be too upset about any criminal activity they were doing, even if there was some. however, illegals have given themselves a reputation for being potentially (more so than other groups) criminal through the whole ms13 and gangs thing.
as for food stamps and welfare, if they're coming into this country illegally, it's probably becaue they're poor, in which case a high percentage of them are using welfare and food stamps and other sources of tax money. again, if most of the illegals were rich, people wouldn't be using this argument, even if some of the illegals were using welfare or whatever.
lastly, if you're an illegal immigrant, you've already commited a crime by entering the country.

Only 29% of illegals are in prison, ok so that means that 61% are legal. So last time I checked 61 is bigger than 29, so the majority are legal. That's a fact Gary!

Do you realize that most, not all criminals and pedophiles have a track record. Most often than not, they have priors for molesting and killing. When people immigrate legally, they are screened for a prior record and those that do have one, no matter how old it is aren't allowed to be here. Why is that so bad? IF a family of five can afford $2,000 a piece for a coyote, they can afford to do it the right way.

You cannot speak to what legal citizens of this country do or not do. That is no concern of the illegal. The illegal is breaking our laws just by being in this country and we have plenty of jail cells filled with them to prove they are breaking other laws. All illegals do not pay taxes, in order for them to do so would require that they have valid identification and a valid social security card(not a stolen identity). So I feel pretty confident in the numbers.

Oh we know they do, and when they are caught committing a crime they go to jail.
As for them collecting benefits, well that's what they are there for, they are ENTITLED to them after all. Even if they themselves haven't paid into the system, their parents, grandparents, brothers, sisters and in some cases children have. And in any case Americans getting benefits aren't BANKRUPTING the social systems.
Illegals are NOT entitled to benefits. The systems were not designed for them.

This is what I think about your question:
**Legals commit crimes.
**Illegals commit crimes.
**US citizens commit crimes.
But if the illegals weren't here to begin with, then their crimes (and their leeching) wouldnt happen on US soil. Hence, there would be less crimes, less leeching, less drugs.
There would still be that going on the legals and the citizens, but that total--minus the illegals--means less that type of activity.
It is simple math, amigo.
PS--Gary, thanks for a factual and data-driven response. It will be refreshing in the histronics and hyperbole about to be posted by others.
