the reason i am asking this is because i saw on cspan today that he was an atheist and the officer who took his body back to his mother and told her "he didn't have a personal relationshipwith christ and was worm food"/
This was on cspan and if it is true i think it's horrid

He did not conform to any formal religion. He had read the Bible, the Quran, the Book or Mormon and others. Pat Tillman's mother testified to that fact about the comments which did not surprise me because of the example set at the top by the Commander in Chief, where you must wear your religion on your sleeve. If you do not conform to people's beliefs then you are treated with disdain which was reprehensible especially from the person who went to his Mother and she should have punched the SOB in the face. Just my opinion of course

I really don't know what religion Pat was nor do I care.

Considering the climate in the USA at this time (separation of church & government) what does it matter. He is still a casualty and no religion will ever bring him, or any other dead heroes like him, back to life.
Suffice it to know that he gave his life for his country and did his job to the best of his ability. It is too bad that GWB and DC were not with him at the time. Thank you Pat.
