Why is it that so many Christians think that worshiping god is the the only way to find true happiness and have good morals?

I have nothing against religion I just have no desire to try it. I just find it odd that they think its the only way. I have a lot of material problems but I still appreciate my life very much and I'm happy with it. Why do people think thats not possible because I haven't found Jesus.

That is the design of God much in the same way that the internal combustion engine runs best when properly lubricated and driven at moderate levels. Worshiping God, i.e. living a life of devotion to Him and service to others, is the full life. Who lived a more worthwhile life: Donald Trump or Mother Teresa?

The Bible says that God is a happy God.

1 Timothy 1:11 - "according to the glorious good news of the happy God, with which I was entrusted"

We need to read the Bible and apply what it says.

Revelation 1:3 - "Happy is he who reads aloud and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and who observe the things written in it; for the appointed time is near"

Christians don't worship God to find happiness and morality. We worship God because he is our God, and we owe him such reverance.

However, we do find happiness through knowing God, and we do find a certain morality through reading God's word. If you disagree with our morality, or with what we consider to be the things that make us happy, that's your problem, and we don't have the obligation to change our ways for the likes of you.You liberals preach tolerance for all, and acceptance of all, yet you are intolerant and nonaccepting of christians. Well, in this country we have religious freedom. Get used to it. If we offend your lifestyle of sin, then look away. We're not going away, and we're not compromising.

It is really hard to explain because it has to do with the spirit man. Unless you have experienced this for yourself, it really does not make sense. Any person, whether you believe in God or not can have good morals. There is just something special that happens when you accept Jesus. I cannot speak for anyone else just myself. I had everything I wanted materially and thought I was happy, until I accepted Jesus. My life changed, I really became happy. You will just have to try it for yourself to know what we mean.

Because it is the only way.

If you don't believe that God created everything? Where did the first atom come from to split into two, to split into four, to split into eight,... into all that we have today. And all of it balanced. From atoms that make rocks to leaves to blood; where did it come from?
Truth is Happiness. If you live in a lie. how can one be happy?

Isn't this human nature? My way seems right to me so it must be right for others? This holds true for us all, not just Christians.

We all have differing mental dispositions. It does not take much analysis to understand this, but it takes real wisdom and compassion to know it and to know what is really best for someone else.

Well, for the sake of arguemnt, we'll say that God really exists. Alot of people need this God figure so that they have someone to put all of their problems into and someone who will always be there for them.

I believe after you have been around a while, you will see this. But once you have experienced Jesus, you will not truly desire anything else, as nothing can take His place.

because so many of them have tried the worldly ways to happiness and still had that empty place that just won't go away.

with maturity, many of us have discovered that life doesn't need to be *happy*, but it does have to have meaning and purpose...
