I'm thinking it's going on, only cause it's some quick cash for the UFC or perhaps they thought Jardine was going to destroy Alexander. I'm aware of the "Put Up, Or Shut Up" policy of the UFC but Jardine was running his mouth how he deserved a better fight, and then is knocked out before a minute is off the clock, and so he gets to fight the former champion? Doesnt makes sense to me.............

both him and liddell are commig off knockout losses, and now they know chuck needs a win and a good win on his comeback fight, so they give him jardine who they know liddell is going to murder in the first round. so it makes liddell look good, which is horseshit. hes never going to have the belt again hes not beating rampage ever, or henderson, or silva, his raine as champion is over just like ortiz.

Basically they want to put chuck up at the top again and to do that, they put him against someone who is no joke and a reasonably known name, but will most likely lose aka keith jardine.

correct not too many people willing to fight Liddell coming off a loss and not being a title shot.

Liddell needs a "comeback" fight, since he still has star power......he needs an opponent who may marginally give him problems, but he should defeat.
