I knew this would open a can of worms - I see land disappearing from well cultivatd gardens to more houses. (Government policy on inheritance tax and building plots). It seems that every form of activity in the countryside is under attack so that more land will be freed up to build on. Is it really my imagination? Also our area has a high influx of economic migrants. Our children cant afford to buy homes on Minimum wage, and there are no houses to rent at an affordable price.

Population increase is due to many factors, immigration being one of them but not the only cause. The population of England especially is not sustainable long term in the uk.
The following is a link to goverment statistics- just look at the number of people residing in England.

I do feel that building extra homes is a short term solution by the government to avoid the long term problem, but one day(not that long away) we will run out of land in england.

the concern the united kingdom has (tremendously the south) is that the sole land made obtainable for development is valueless companies to flood land. the huge land vendors will save the best land for themselves and sell off the ineffective relax. it is that this ineffective land that's all that's obtainable to construct on. what proportion situations have you ever pushed someplace and observed a chew of land and theory "that could make a suitable abode sight" properly you're actually not the 1st to try this, the guy who owns the land would have theory precisely the comparable, they'll carry directly to it untill the fee is going up lots that it is only too good an supply to refuse. worry is, with the aid of this time it is lots out of the fee variety of any universal abode builder. I cant think of any of the landowners keen to surrender super swathes of land for the objective of irrigation ditches or dykes, and that i cant think of the councils or authorities eager to pay for them. So it appears that evidently like we are caught with what we've have been given, undesirable development land obtainable, undesirable investment in flood defenses and unlawful use of flood undeniable land for homes which all and sundry is acquainted with will finally sooner or later value the hot vendors a packet. Land is the huge stumbling block interior the united kingdom (tremendously the south), consequently you have few reservoirs, few capability stations and little or no heavy industry (nonetheless, the north has little or no heavy industry recently). The landowners won't tolerate the inability of land to reservoirs or the blot on the panorama of capability stations or industry because it diminishes the fee of their supplies. The south holds the wealth of the rustic yet additionally the geographic issues this wealth creates.

According the government figures more people are leaving the country than those coming in, OK we all know that rubbish, the government figures don't take into account illegal immigrants, building new house's is not necessary, we just need to use the housing stock that's sitting out there empty. After the floods this summer its obvious that we are already building on flood plains, this is not acceptable for those poor people who have brought homes, only to find out that in the event of heavy rain, their homes are ruined and insurable, or unsellable.

Some facts:

About two thirds of ENGLISH population growth is due to immigration:

The economic consequences are mixed:

So, the answer is, yes we would not need to build as many new homes, including those on flood plains, if immigration were reduced. Yes, most of the 3 million new homes projected by government will be for migrants. Yes, the government is doing this deliberately for economic reasons.

I think they were building on flood plains before immigration became any sort of issue in the minds of narrowminded racists. If people are stupid enough to buy houses there because they are cheaper then that's there problem, nothing to do with immigration. Most of the people affected in the recent floods in the South of England for example weren't immigrants.

If I could give you a star for being an idiot I would....oh well.

The other issue is that the sea levels are in fact not rising, all the immigrants are putting extra weight on the country causing it to slowly sink. The reason why it is mostly coastal areas affected by this is because of the influx of eastern europeans working in the tourism industry.

This is an absolutely true fact.....

aswell as the point that anyone anti immigration will jump on any bandwagon to support their cause...

True this Labour government has messed up beyond belief. They dont even care about the indigenous population or culture. Immigrants say London is a great place for all cultures to come together, but then they say the British culture is racist.

correct - if you are in the UK you can go onto the no10 website and sign the petition as i have and stop the immigration now. - if the country settles down in a few years we can once again open our doors.

we will have no countryside left at this rate - we haven't enough jobs and school places as it is.
have a star sir
