if so, many geniuses the world has alot to thank for are sinners, like scientists, for example Thomas edison, he created many things like the light bulb which you will undoubtedly use everyday, if so why are you supporting a product of his "sins" because if it wasnt for his understanding of science (which proves many bible theories wrong) then the things that you use daily like light bulbs would not exist. so why do yousupport a product of his sins?

please dont say something un helpful like "love the sinner not his sins" or "thats stupid". leave a constructive answer please!

OK, I will try to leave a constructive answer...I agree, all the "love the sinner, hate the sin", or "that's stupid" replies are not helpful.

What if I were to tell you that I, a devout Christian grandmother, am a sinner? So is my daughter, and so are her daughters, just as an example?
Would that information make your eyes widen just a bit?
Because, I assure you, it is true...
Of course, you are a sinner, too, but I'll bet you were already aware of that...and if you weren't, I'll bet you've had plenty of "Christians" all too willing to point this less-than-exclusive information out for you.
Thing is, we are ALL sinners. So, the light bulb the little guy in the refrigerator turns on when I open the door was invented by a sinner? If you think that's gonna keep me from going in there for an afternoon snack, you're absolutely mistaken!
But, tell ya what...if it makes you feel any better about it, I'll pray for Mr. Edison (I'm sure God loves him), AND the little guy who turns the light on when I open the door, while I'm out there raiding the fridge.

Is anybody else hungry??

Wow, you are so far off it's hard to know where to start.

We are all sinners geniuses and idiots. All the works of our minds, hands etc. are not products of sin. Nor are they seen that way. Additionally, science is not a sin. The Catholic Church pioneered many scientific projects in the early years and continues to do so today. So, science and the products from science are not necessarily sinful.

We are all human and fall short of God's glory. We can only pray for his mercy. All things, including the light bulb, are due to the glory of God.

I'm a Christian and I'm a sinner. We are all sinners, believers and non-believers. Sin is sin. If I did not use a product produced by a sinner, there would not be one product on earth I could use.

If I'm not going to buy a product or support someone, it is because they use their sin to enact laws against others. Such as using the sin of homophobia to pass laws which prevent gay Americans from marrying. I don't see atheists trying to pass laws against others.

I do not consider using light bulbs to be supporting sin. Is using a light bulb sinful? As previously mentioned, everyone sins. If we followed your logic, we would not use anything that man created(but all inspired by God). We would all still be living in caves, counting on lightning to light our fires.

Your question is counterproductive to your position.
The invention of the light bulb in no way proves the Bible wrong, nor is science necessarily opposed to the Bible, nor would the inventions of those who oppose some things we believe negate their viability or disallow us from using them.

The Bible actually supports scientific methods, by which such things as the light bulb were invented, and in fact by cause and effects we see evidence of God's existence. Moeoverover, the Bible has revealed basic scientific discoveries before they were discovered by modern man: http://www.reasons.org/resources/apologetics/forecasts.shtml

But if inventions by some people who disagree with some things we believe disallowed us from using them, then considering the abundant number of notable scientists that were men of faith, then you could not be using such things as electricity. http://www.adherents.com/people/100_scientists.html

I consider everyone to be sinners, including myself. No one is perfect, except Jesus. So what's your point, Pot-stirrer?

Romans 3:23 -- for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

We are all sinners, atheists included but not exclusive.

And yes I would prefer not to financially support individuals or corporations with whom I have serious political, religious or other disagreement; but not always consistent.

It is an interesting question though.
