You can apply for a CRB check which will give you your criminal record. You may also apply to see what if anything is recorded on criminal intelligence systems but it will be heavily edited as the police are permitted under the Data Protection Act to hold back certain things obviously such as ongoing investigations and info that may be used to avoid detection of crime or assist others who may be mentioned who are suspected or engaged in illegal activities.Every separate type of info is charged for.

Under the freedom of information act, you can see most of the info held on you for £10 one off fee payable to the people who you want the info from. You may not get all of it, if for instance terrorist/security related crime or cases that are currently being investigated.
I think the turn round for info is around 28 - 40 days.
Oh, by the way. In the UK we don't live in a free society.

As one not living in the UK...nor a citizen - simply a citizen of the Commonwealth...
The UK has an Access to Information Act as do most countries. You should be able to see anything that is not classified as a National Security item.
Now, as for your possible *criminal* records...go to the local cop shop in your jurisdiction (in the case of a metropolitan area, the *main* office), and ask for a Criminal Records Check. If you have any charges against you (don't know about pending), they will show up. Do the same with the Licensing Bureau for your driver's abstract. You'll have to pay for both, but still...
If you are talking about the dossier that some bobby in his spare time has put together about you and your nefarious schemes to overthrow parliament and install yourself as a Hitler-esque Dictator...contact a Solicitor and drop your questions in his/her lap.

Tina. You always have the right to see your own Police Records. And indeed play them.
I simply advise you wait till your parents and brothers are out. Hurt the neighbours ears ! Then you can live with me. Only if you are gorgeous. Maybe you'd like to comment by e-mailing me on that. Intelligent girls would.

yes it cost £10 and you would need to fill out a subject to access form, you will all so need two forms of id with your address on and then the police send it off it can take up to four weeks to come back.
p.s you can go to any police station for this.

if at any time you apply for a job that requires it, you will be asked to fill out a 'Criminal Record Bureau' form. When this returns you will recieve a copy of this and any items relevent will be recorded there.
I don't know any other way to find out.
