Religion is not about STRONGEST. If you are going to choose a religion based on that you are not doing yourself any justice. First of all there really isn't ONE strong religion, If people would only get their heads out their A S S they would see that neither head of any religion ever said to kill ion the name of GOD. It was man who said that!! The real religion feeding this crazy machine is power and greed. the real question that you should be asking is, How to stop these murders in the name of GOD.

Sikhs class themselves as warriors - their symbols of the sword and the bangle show that they once fought for their religious beliefs.

Your question needs more clarification. There are many different stengths and where one religion may seem strong on one count it is often weak on other aspects in comparison to other religions.

We are all going to give our opinions but I'd be surprised if there is anyone on here who knows everything about all the religions of the world and can give you the true factual answer.

personally my own. But I'm sure the strongest religion would be the one where ALL its 'followers' were truly happy in that religion...

The search for truth.

Christianity may seem large in numbers but I wouldn't count it as strong. It is seperate by hundreds of fractions - each one warring with eachother. If there is no unity from within then there is no unity from without. The same with all other religions - the more shattered they become the more they fight about who has the truth, who is saved and who is not - and they lose all sight of what is truly important:

The truth and the wisdom that comes from attaining it.

The test of a religion is not how strong it is but how accurate it is in describing the conditions of humanity and the answers for managing those conditions. For example...."man is evil". Well how doe s man (or woman) cope with that condition and how do they get beyond that. If ones looks at ones own life and likes some thing and does not like others, how does this religion or that religion assist them in changing. That means not just what the religion has written down but how those who are part of that religion practise it.

You cannot ask a question like that because you're only going to get biased answers. Christianity - Oh, yea, Jesus is the messiah. He was put on a cross and then he magically went up to heaven. The religion is based on the fact that one day people saw him dead and the next moment he was gone. The only logical reason is because he went up to live with god, and that right there is why some people should devote their lives to the Catholic church. Come on.

What do you mean by the "strongest" religion? The religion with the most adherents is Christianity but even that is split into numerous denominations. There are about 2.1- 2.4 billion Christians.

Define what you mean by strength. In financial strength, the various churches don't give financial disclosure but the coffers of the Catholic Church was rocked by the $1.5 billion they had to pay out because of the conduct of their priests. They have been forced to now sell assets.
