It depends what your using to download mp3s. If your using windows xp and the microsoft firewall go to start>control panel>windows firewall>exceptions and add your program to the list.

A Firewall is software and/or hardware to protect your computer and/or network from intrusions.

As EEJ stated; MP3 may have copy protection. It is illegal to remove the protection in most countries.

A few years ago Sony and possibly others place rootkits on their copyrighted software. Wh a copy was attempted, the rootkitt activated and locked out your computer. They are not doing this any more, but there could still be some floating around - beware.
