Respectfully, more ghetto than stylish.

My best friend is black and she gets cornrows with synthetic hair. I really think it depends on the person and what style the cornrows are in. They usually look cute on her, if she gets them done well, but sometimes the cheap kind can look really stringy. I would say they are usually stylish and not ever really ghetto, unless the person wearing them has that kind of attitude. It all comes down to the person's attitude, not the hairstyle.

Being a black woman who use to wear braids as a child, a teen and a young woman thinks that it's stylish for you. If you are a confident young woman....ROCK it. I don't' think it's ghetto. Obviously people who don't know our culture would only think anything 'black' is ghetto. Being stylish and looking good doesn't make you ghetto. Doing things that make you 'feel' good is the key. Now, the only problem I see is what style to go with?
