My boss said I stole a something and told me to sign my time sheet and leave for the day. Usually the employees turn in their own time sheet, however he said he would turn in the time sheet for me.

However my Boss is not allowed to turn in my time sheet via a contract both of us singed when I got hired and I never gave him consent to turn in on my behalf.

He said he would report me, but I have yet to hear anything, however I have grounds to report him. What should I do?

Do not confront your boss directly. Go to the Human Resources and see if they can mediate the situation. Do not act angry or make any accusations, just make your statement very clearly and concisely, and be sure to state that the original accusation was false. Ask them how you should best handle the situation - they may have an official policy you need to follow, or temporarily reassign you to another department.

To follow up, put your statement in writing and hand it in to Human Resources, including their recommendations, so they have your story on file, and you have a copy in case it is needed later.

I've encountered the same situation before.

If your boss is the one that owns the whole place. Basically you can't say anything much & more, I would resigned if I were you before defending myself.
- my HR Manager, also 1 of my boss accused me of stealing the malfunction old model device because I'm the ONLY one that knows how to fix those devices. I questioned her ability in conducting her research skills & also why there are no security camera & locks in her place. She further accused the janitor & another staff on it. Yes, I confronted her. That's justice & I told her to report to the police & bringing up Labour Laws & etc.
Eventually she didn't dare to talk to me.
About 1 month later, the device was found in another department. She never apologize nor say anything about it. But I've since then left the company. No use working for someone who frames you & in such place with no job securities.
Since thn. I've heard of a series of other "missing items" in the office & plenty of ppl. been accused. They didn't resigned but still work there with resentment & full of hatred for the boss.
I don't see the point. But it's their choice.

If you've a HR Department, report your case & make further investigations.

But no matter what it seems your boss wants to eliminate you.
Put up a good fight especially if you believe you're right, else you'll regret about it.

Defiantly fallow up. If you just let it go you will never be sure what happened. Plus If you do not ask and your boss fallowed through. A negative mark will be with you as you apply for jobs. Employers do talk to each other -- references. Any way you look at it you need to fallow through to claim your innocence

I would go to human resources right away, especially if you didn't steal anything. Tell them everything he said, what time it was, etc. They will mediate and resolve your issue. Don't wait. If your boss is making false accusations regarding theft it could get you fired.
