Racist = hating someone due to color, race!*, or culture
Prejudice = an unfavorable opinion or feeling formed beforehand or without knowledge, thought, or reason.
So...for some perspective...if you hate gay guys, your prejudice, if you hate black guys u are racist.
So could you few please get your answers outta my face, thanks morons.

are you pre-judging people to be racist?
or do you hate them only once you know they are racist?
the former is prejudice, the latter is not. post-judging is fine, as long as you don't generalize.

Hating racist people does not make a person prejudice. Thats like saying hating terrorist makes a person prejudice. Racist and terrorist are both people. You don't hate racist because they are people, you hate them because of the terrible things they believe in. Racist are the ones who are prejudice because they hate other races because they are people. I hope that answers your question, sorry if it doesn't.
And to answer the 2nd part, we should treat everybody equal, no matter what.

There are somethings that it is ok to be prejudice against and racists strike me as one. Come on, do we really have to give someone a fair shake who doesn't give that same courtesy to others? Personally I'm prejudice against several people: rapists, child molestors, bigots, cannibals, Barbra Streisand, and spouse beaters are a few just from the top of my head. :)

Everyone has some sort of prejudice - some bad, some good. I have a bad prejudice - I'm not fond of people who are extremely overweight and continue to be gluttons. I have a good prejudice - I don't like racist people either.

I have zero tolerance for racist people. That does not make you prejudice. A racist is not treating others equally and does not deserve that benefit.
Racists forget that you should treat others as you want to be treated.

Prejudiced means that you are predisposed in one way or another towards someone. Everyone is prejudiced. The sort of prejudice that we have attempted to eliminate from our society is prejudice that stems from racism which was (and still is, to some extent) systematically denying rights to an entire segment of the population for no rational reason. Prejudice isn't in and of itself an undesireable thing.

I think everyone deserves to be treated with respect and dignity...hating racists doesn't make you a better person...it just makes you angry, I used to be like that...so I avoid racist people or people in general that will make me angry...in life not everyone is going to accept you, agree with you so as long as they respect you...people are entitle to their own opinions...Its hard to understand people but two wrongs don't make a right! Hope this helps! :)

Just my opinion........I think, as humans, it is very, very hard to treat all people the same. We SHOULD try, no doubt. There is no one person in this world who is perfect......so there will never be a person who can truly say they treat every single person without a tiny bit of prejudice. ......just my opinion.

Hate is such a strong word. You're not necessarily being racist because you dislike the person for his actions. Not because of his gender, colour, creed, etc.
