i know you are allowed to get a free credit report from annualcreditreport.com and that you are allowed one free report from each of the three credit agencies a year. however, does when they say "each year" does that go by:

one sometime between 2006-2007

or would the year go by like say you got one in september 2006, would you not be able to get another until september 2007?

i'm only wondering because i looked back in around november 2006 last year and i went to go look at it today and it told me that i already looked at it for free online this year, and i haven't tried to access in 2007 until today...does that mean i have to wait until november?

It's a year from the last time you pulled your report.

You have to wait one full year before you can get another free credit report using annualcreditreport.com. For example, if you got your last report on November 1, 2006, you will have to wait until November 1, 2007 to get a new report.

One suggestion so that you can monitor your credit a little easier is to stagger the date that you order your free reports. For example, order Experian in November, Equifax in March, and Transunion in July.

yes. for their purposes they mean once per 12 months so 12 months from the day you got your last one is when you can get another free report so wait 3 more months, or if you have had fraudently activity, report it immediately and you will get one free in addition the regular free one. But don't report fraud unless it really happened because they will ask for specific information.
