taking out a stereo in a 98 eclipse?

i have a 98 eclipse that i need to take out of my car its factory and i was wonering if anyone knows how to take it out? thanks for any help

Remove the cup holder pockets behind the shifter. There should be some screws under them. Look on the side of the center console near the front for screws.

The key is, you need to remove the center console, sliding it toward the rear of the vehicle. You should then be able to get to the metal brackets holding in the stock radio.

This is not an easy car to work on.
