For the past month maybe more I suffer from anxiety every night around the same time. I think its more than anxiety. I have been told that I have panic disorder, but lately what I experience is way more intense. So last night I was up allllll night long because everytime I would lay down and close my eyes I felt a shocking sensation in my chest on the left side. Then I would get a hot flash and it would scare me so I would sit up and try to go to sleep, the same thing would happen. I could feel this was starting to cause anxiety and my throat was starting to feel clogged. It could just all be in my head but Its been going on for too long with this anxiety crap. I didnt know a panic attack could last almost all day and night long. What is goin on with me? Oh yea, I dont have insurance right now either so please dont tell me to go to a doctors. THANKS

Emergency room would be the thing regarding your sharp pain in your chest on left side. Could be lots of things. Just go there and they wont turn you away unless totally full of ER cases. You may have to wait a while. Psychological problems such as panic attacks are something else. Apparently these are not new to you so if your symptoms are the same, and they last for approx. same amount of time, you should know how to treat them.
Also, helpful is to lie down on your back on floor elevate your feet (couch level) and do deep breathing exercises. Avoid caffeine, and any other stimulate like coffee etc. If you have a food you really enjoy, try that. Avoid alcohol-period.
Hope you feel better soon.

I have the same problem. I can stay up all night long panicing and panicing all night long. You don't need a trip to the ER but I take a pill that really helps. Its called PAXIL It calms you down throught the day and if you take one in the morning and one at night you will feel much better. I know its just very scary to have panic attacks and it is mabey one of the most worst feelings in the entire world. But if you take medicine for it, it happens MUCH less often. trust me I know. Don't worry its a normal thing for people to go throught just like ADD or ADHD, its just a mental problem that CAN BE FIXED with the right counceling, talk to a phyciatrist which could help too or a school counceler if your currently still in school or getting ready to start up again. I hope this helps - Jimmy
