Can anyone tell me if the Thomson Spirit boat is good?
Also is there any tips to get Thomson cruises cheaper?

Never been on the Spirit but I was on the Celebration for 6 months, working there. I worked for a concession that runs shops on ships of several lines (50 ships)... we did the setup on the Celebration back in 2005 when it became a thomson ship...
im not sure if this is the take you are looking for, but of all the ships Ive worked, in 10 years, and that included P&O, Carnival, Costa, Island, Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, Silverseas, the R6 and a few other, I´ve never had such a nice work environement such as the Celebration. The Crew and Staff are treated like people... back then we complained a lot, but when you look back, Thomson was by far the best Ship Ive ever worked for.
An the passengers we so nice too, Ive worked with British pax before, but over there they were really nice.
It was a great run as well, since we did Baltic and Norway, my favorite destination, but honestly, go for it!
Hope you enjoy
Also, it may not be as posh and P&O and others, but we (the shops) made much more money on Thomson...

Not been on Spirit, but did a cruise on another Thomson ship some years back. Good value, not as good food or entertainment as on more expensive lines, but you get what you pay for.
You could try Portland Holidays, which is Thomson's direct-sales arm, for a better price: www.portland-direct.co.uk . Or look at the cruise pages on teletext - always agents offering good prices there.

Been on the Sprit twice, and hoping to book for the Iberian cruise next month. We love the ship. The staff are very friendly and the food is wonderful. We usually wait closer to the time before booking (unless it's a special occasion)

These usually have some good late deals, and you can sign up for a tracker on whatever cruise you are interested in.
Happy cruising

ocean.denis seems to know alot about things from the working side of the ships. he has some good clues as to what you might experience. As far as thompson cruises i would check with them and or cruisecritic.com
