For me, Worship was awesome. The message was on the power a follower of Jesus now has while living in the Kingdom of God. We had 2 people give their lives to Jesus and 4 others received the baptism in the Holt Spirit.

How was your gathering?

I work, so my church is going to yahoo answers. I hope that by answering some questions that people will gain a little more knowledge of the love of God and His goodness. Wow, how exciting that 2 people came to Jesus (rejoice and dance) and 4 the Holy Spirit. (shake the tambourine).

Øbliviøus Ñijğ½ ♂... You must be getting a calling, yes? Shhh... don't tell anyone yet! :-)

Church was good... although I missed sacrament meeting because I had to prepare the four kids on my own (I went to a different ward, because I was staying with my sister for the weekend - hubby stayed at home).

The Sunday School talked about modern and ancient revelation (Acts 10-15, I think). And Relief Society was about having reverence for God... with particular emphasis on speaking his name with reverence. That was a really good lesson... I taught the same one last week in my own ward, but with a totally different emphasis (on devotion to God in every day life, as a reverent way of life).

I went to a new church today. The message was ok but the people were so welcoming and friendly. I plan to return next Sunday mainly due to the people being so sweet. To the person who said "your church made money"-- yeah, we gave $5.00 when the plate was passed and afterwards, they gave us a nice lunch. :-) We were 2 of the 20 people attending.

I went today and the Pastor spoke on several different things, all of which reflected from the two weddings he performed saturday. One couple was interracial and the other was not. So he spoke on folks maybe going against the interracial couple because they were not of the same race. He spoke about the virtuous woman and what it means to be virtuous. Issues revolving around women and how we are so bossy. He was really on fire this morning. But we love him so.

The praise and worship was great, but I got sick and left before Pastor got to preaching. I don't know if he ever did preach; given the time I left, I think maybe they just stayed in worship for the whole service.

cwstuffff, not all churches are conglomerates. Please be careful not to generalize. Madelyn Murray O'Haire was an atheist; should I assume you're whacko because she was?

Quite Lovely, thank you for asking.
I walked down a path and spoke with God. I thanked him for caring so well for all of my Foe's, Friends and Family.
