I know that Israel agreed to a ceasefire before many had arrived. The last I've seen of it in the newspapers is that they were having difficulty finding nations willing to send troops.

Yes, UN troops have been patroling the border between Israel and Lebanon, and I believe along the Syrian/Lebanon border, too. You won't here alot about it, because UN troops typically run and hide, when the fit hits the shan, and the bad guys (Syria) will find other ways to move their contraband into Lebanon to supply Hezbollah.

Yes, 3 Spanish UNIFIL troops (2 on attachment from Coloumbia) were murdered recently by a Hezzi roadside bomb, planted on the orders of Iran-Syria to create unstability in the area.
