This is just it: They are NOT Christian.
IT is corporate greed, materialism, and obviously they do not care one little bit about God, or what He would have them do.
They have people so weakened that they no longer stand up for what they believe in. "Hey, you don't have to work here, you know, if you don't want to work."
So they cave in, so they are not fired from a job that pretty much is a slave job anyway. They need the money. They have a family to feed.
I wonder how God will judge the taskmasters of today?

I don't think American corporations have any religious affiliation. I think they worship the bottom line.
Along the same lines -- if government is not supposed to endorse a particular religion (witness the lawsuits every year over manger scenes on government property), why do government workers have Christmas off?

Because Christian isn't a religion anymore, it's a social club. Who knows if ever wasn't one. It benefits a person to say they are a Christian, I would venture to say that many of them don't even know what it means to be a Christian. This is a big reason why I don't attend church anymore.

One of those false prophets...I never knew Wal-Mart claimed to be a "christian" based organization.

why does the church not give the Preacher Sunday off?
it is money pure and simple. and sunday is a big shopping day.
what i can't figure out is why they close early on sunday instead of opening late. think about it, if you open late, then all of the people that were in church are now potential customers.,,closeing early simply cuts into my shopping time.

John Lennon was right. The world would be a better place without religion. Corporations want to make money. Period.

Because their real God is the almighty dollar. The "Christian" thing is just for PR.

There's no such thing as a Christian company. The only Christian organization is the church. Companies aren't churches, so they aren't Christian organizations.
