The Methodist church is fairly open and accepting of everyone, especially the churches in the northeast.

The Jewish faith, like most others, is currently discussing this issue because if it can be discovered that people are born gay (which the vast majority of gay people will tell you they are), then god has made them that way and what god has made cannot be considered unnatural. If you go to an unorthodox synagogue, most of those are already open and accepting. It is the orthodox Jewish faith that is having to re-evaluate their theology.

The Unitarian Universalist church is the most accepting of all because for Unitarians (which is what I am), your relationship with the divine is a PERSONAL journey. Therefore, if you feel a need to have a relationship with God or with the divine or supernatural, you can do so without having to meet any stipulations meaning that you can worship without having to deny or supress who you truly are as a person. Going to a Unitarian Church is about being in a community with other people who are also on their own spiritual journey and helping one another along that journey. You can still retain your christian beliefs, there are many at my church who do.

Best of luck!
Peace,
Jenn

There's a good Wikipedia article on this.

Anglicans/Episcopalians in North America theoretically accept gay relationships, but this depends on your parish/diocese. They don't do same-sex marriages but in some parts of the US, they can have a "blessing". If you're a Catholic-minded gay person, becoming a high Anglican could be your best bet. It was for me.

The United Church of Canada and (in the US) the United Church of Christ allow each minister and congregation to determine whether to do same-sex marriages.

The Universal Fellowship of Metropolitan Community Churches is a mainline Protestant denomination that caters specifically to gay Christians.

Outside of Christianity, there are groups like the Unitarian Universalists, who are totally gay-friendly.

well i used to be Roman Catholic, but now i am non-denominational and my church just says that homosexuality is wrong, but they arent going to prohibit a gay person from entering the church and worshipping with us. When I went to the catholic church it was like "if you are a homosexual, get the hell out" but the church of christ is just saying its wrong and that we shouldnt be gay, and like i said, we dont prohibit gay men from worshipping in the church and we dont go on manhunts for gays and lesbians lol.

I am a Christian and my brother is gay, and i have a few gay friends and I love each and every one of them and I support them. I even went to a gay pride parade with my bi friend. and she goes to church with me too sometimes. I do think homosexuality is a sin, but i believe that as a Christian, I am required to love everyone no matter what so just because they sin doesnt mean i dont love them, I believe that I can support gays and lesbians and still be straight and still obey God's orders. It says nowhere in the Bible that we must distance ourselves from homosexuals. So thats my spiel on that
The Church of Christ believes in equality among all of God's children, sinner or not. Gays are people too, so they are treated fairly, however we do not really accept their lifestyle

thats one of the main reasons I left the RCC

Peace and love in Christ

Christian/catholic churches don't banish the homosexuals, they just have strict rules for them. Our churches only have 1 view of true love that is combined of 3 purposes. 1) pleasure 2) procreating life 3) sharing your love with eachother through intercorse.
Homosexual love is only combined of 2 of these purposes and therefore it is not considered true love. Maybe you don't agree with it, but that's the way it goes and has been for many years. Maybe you have a problem with it, but the other 4 billion christians/catholics don't seem to. If you are homosexual and join one of these religions there are strict rules for you. You may not have sex with other men. It is considered a sin. Since you cannot marry in our church sex before marriage is considered a sin. Therefore you can fantasize about it or you can go find yourself a girlfriend. No homosexual has 0 feelings for a women. What i mean i a man is naturally attracted to a women and from time to time even a gay men can get turned on by a women. They won't say it, but there bodies know it. There is no such thing as sexual origion in my mind. Whoever you fall inlove with is who you must stay with. if you fall inlove with the same sex go for it, but if you are catholic/christian do not have sex with them. In other words you can't/ Intercorse is vaginal prenatration. You are only having oral sex throughout your whole relationship. God won't hate you in my view, but he may be disappointed in your actions.

funds whilst your livelihood relies upon on contributions out of your congregation, your sermons and doctrine have a tendency to duplicate what your congregation desires to hearken to. i'm no longer asserting that's a unsleeping ingredient, that's basically how that's. church homes are in opposition for members and there is actual a marketplace at the instant for expert-gay doctrine. some faith replaced into absolute to cater to that demographic. The extra prevalent the theory turns into that homosexuality is sturdy and sturdy, the extra religions will bounce on board. unhappy yet authentic. Mormons (LDS) settle for anybody, yet behaviors including enticing in gay dating or gay intercourse have not at all been known. If a individual has gay thoughts/desires yet chooses to no longer act on them, i do no longer evaluate them gay and neither does the LDS church.

I certainly don't know them all. Episcopal has a infamous cardinal, gay. A lot of Catholic priests are that way.
But any church that approves of them is totally against the Bible. For the Bible says Homosexuals will all rot in hell. (1 Corinthians 6:9-10)

In Canada it's mostly the United Church although the Anglican Church has also blessed same sex unions I believe..

I should say though that our church doesn't bless same sex marriages but we also don't regard the state of homosexuality as being sinful. The act of practicing homosexuality yes, but again not worse than the sins of myself or any of the other church members....but still sin...

"accepted"...might need to better define that one...

if you mean, will we let you come and worship, because as a sinner you are no different than me, and your sin is no deeper an offense to God than mine...then that would be the church I attend.

If you mean "accept" as in does the preacher get up and say "times have changed, we need to stop holding to ancient beliefs that hold us back", well, not all churches are going to go that route.

"Accept" and "condone" are two different words, with two different applications to this question.

Which are you asking for?
