All people should work to take care of themselves and their family no matter where they live. I believe people should be a citizen of a country before they can work or go to school there!

Why can't they go to work in an area within their country where there is jobs? If you are a mexican immigrant, the unemployment rate in mexico is only 1% higher than the unemployment rate here.
You can work, but you guys are greedy and think you will make more money here so you come here. We may think a better life is in Mexico, but we can't just invade and demand. We would have to follow the laws of immigration to mexico. Or any other country we would move to for that matter.
I would not go to another country illegally and risk the lives of my family or risk us being torn apart. If I was a parent in a third world country, I would not leave my children there and go to a better country for a better life. I would also not drag my children to this country so that they can grow up running from the law. Get some ethics, immigrants and also, put your children first. You can't steal what you don't have and say it is because you are poor and starving, it does not work that way, you have to follow the law.

Are you talking about immigrants or criminals? Yes, immigrants deserve the right to work. Criminals, which is anyone who sneaks over the border in defiance of a nations laws, do not.
My family came here the right way, paid their dues, where medically cleared, worked, had no welfare, social security etc.
Why can't you do that? Are you special?
The fact they worry themselves to death is nobodies fault but their own. The fact that their kids will get deported with them, is nobodies fault but theirs. When you comitt a crime, you must live with the consequences. The ironic part is, this country was willing to live and let live, but the illegals got to big for their britches and had to start demanding things. They put up posts like yours. Thats what made a person like me, who previously could care less about an illegal immigrant, now demand that each and everyone of you ungrateful SOB's get forcibly removed from your homes and shipped back to your country of orign. Judging by the fact you all carry foriegn flags, not US flags during your protests (something my immigrant family NEVER did) shows you really like it there better.
We gave an inch, you took a yard. Bye Bye...

We can criticize all we want, because we are American and it is our right to speak our minds however we see fit !
If you really want to work and provide for your family then do so legally .
If you can't provide for your children then use birth control and stop having more..........If you can't feed 'em , don't breed 'em
If you hate American's so much then go back to where you came from
And finally, you were the person earlier complaining about the rednecks next door and yet, you still have not come up with a definition for what a redneck is. How would you like it if I called you a wet b@ck? I personally think you are jealous of the folks next door, only jealousy could breed your comments.
Please don't get worked up so much, I wouldn't want you to end up at the ER with chest pain or something that my hard earned tax dollars are gonna have to pay for.

You left out any concern about legal status. Anyone who has followed the rules for coming and staying here is more than welcome. Part of the deal is the person who wants to come here chooses to come here and our government gets to choose who comes here. Until both mutually agree then the person must stay in their own country. As for these jobs, there are many people here who would like to work at these jobs, except that they keep being given to people who aren't here legally and therefore the employer can get away with paying less and under the table. Both the illegal immigrant and the employer are at fault here and there should be stiff penalties for both when caught. Another thing, in this country we do teach manners and I would never dream of yelling at you, even if you are here illegally and took wages and food out of my fellow Americans mouth.

I would like it a whole lot less to find out that my family was a bunch of illegals and made me one too!! They CANNOT work here so why can't you get that through your head? Illegal...is that word not in your vocabulary? My family denied me the right to believe they were decent, upright people when I found out that they hire illegals...many, many illegals, for their flourishing construction business. What do they say? Undependable, lazy, expectant, shameless, and that they constantly steal supplies from sites and then disappear from the jobs. I won't stand for that or making excuses for unlawful behavior. Family or not. That business will operate lawfully or not at all, what's done is done.

Then they can get permits and tax ID numbers is they are so honest. They can pay for the medical treatment the essentially steal. They can pay for all the criminals who sneak in with them. They are the ones being selfish. Stealing our tax money by not paying taxes and making us pay for their usage of services.
Why should I feel sorry for their families? They made a choice to break the law. When the made that choice, they condemn their family to hardship. Just like a murderer does when they go to prison.

Immigration laws are to protect the people of a country from any harm that could come from immigration. The areas of concern are in education, burden to the taxpayers, infrastructure, housing, disease and health services, traffic, jobs, the availability of food, etc. Every single nation has a set to protect its people, we are no different. I am glad you are concerned about illegal immigrants but let us not forget that the citizen in this equation also needs protection.
A better life at the expense of other people is not right, citizens are people too.

Sure, they come here to work... at wages below the minimum-wages which are guaranteed by law to citizens. They DO steal jobs. Just as the corporations who export jobs steal them.
I've lived in other countries where I did NOT have a "right" to work... I had a LEGAL OBLIGATION. I had to have a job to COME to the country and had to KEEP that job to remain there.
I have NOTHING against LEGAL immigrants... but I condemn illegal immigrants, visa-breakers, etc.

Think about this cali4forniagirl, would you like your neighbor to come and live with your family and set his own rules, for your whole household to obey eventually, bcoz if you don't you would be accused of discrimination? I agree with all the answers posted here, but not the rudesness of some. So if you want to enjoy the good life other rich countries do, then obey that country's law and there wont be no problem. Its as simple as that.

You need to stop yelling at everyone!!! Take your passion to Mexico and fight for your rights there!! If they are so honest and pure why do they break the law by entering someones country illegally? Yes I do stop to think of others before I speak my mind. I listen to the legal immigrants who went through the process and came here legally and are insulted by the illegals who think they can just storm in and help themselves. Gee, who's selfish?!! If they truly have it so bad why aren't they in Mexico complaining instead of coming here?
