Believe me we don't have to. One angel, with the jaw bone of a donkey, wiped out thousands in one night. God holds all of creation together right now. We have the command to tell others about Jesus and God's teachings from the Bible. But we do not have to defend Him.

Worzel, you are absolutely correct, it was Sampson who used the jaw bone. The instance I was referring to was the angel wiping out 185,000 in 2 Kings 19. The angel did not require anything. My mistake.

Prove that you are right. Prove that God exists. Prove the Bible is true, because it is the word of men, not any god. As far as i know, the Bible is a book and all books in history were written by men, not something supernatural that would obey different laws if it existed. The answer to your question is ambiguous, seeing as evolutionists like myself will say that you cannot defend something which cannot be proven to exist. You cannot prove that God exists because if you prove God exists, then it becomes natural instead of supernatural, further supporting evolution and destroying a god if it exists. Science studies the natural. Furthermore, don't answer your own question in your description, it's a waste of 5 points :)

No, I don't have to defend God. If God is even half way as powerful as we think he is, he can take care of himself. If someone on Yahoo Answers makes a joke about Jesus, I don't think that God sheds a tear about the joke. I think God only frowns that someone hasn't found his love yet.

No; we do not have to defend God! As a Christian; I do feel I have an obligation to let others know who He is and to inform them how much he loves them, that He wants more than anything to save them. I suppose this is in a way of defending Him. God does not have to be defended, due to Him having control over creation, saving, miracles, and many more powerful things. Having to defend a powerful God as this; who am I? I can only help others to repect Him; as He souly deserves.

So don't! And we mean vicious atheists will just sit around waiting to be smitten by angels with the jaw bones of donkeys like in the olden days.

You are correct, DEFEND... no.
EXPLAIN... yes.
And that's hard enough to do!!! It is difficult at best for US, with our limited minds, to understand the Infinite God that we love. We have decided that we accept God as our Lord because it is our faith that spans that gap of what we can UNDERSTAND in our minds and what our Lord is.
However, to attempt to EXPLAIN what God is (etc.) to others who are trying to understand Him with THEIR limited minds... and hobbled by their lack of faith in Him to span that gap (a.k.a. the "leap of faith") is even more difficult. This is usually why people who do not (yet) accept the Lord cannot... because they haven't got that "faith" bit down... and that is the part which is between them and God.
I hope this helps explain to you why people ask so many questions about God... even those who HAVE faith are struggling with understanding what and who God is... and even with all the answers we DO have, we STILL cannot EXPLAIN Him fully. You are right, God needs no defense... just a good offense!!!
Have a blessed day!

what horse shyte. Thee is no god, and definitely no proof that any angel wiped out thousands in one night, unless you consider Iconiclbastic flow to be an angel(pompei)
besides, I thought your god was all powerful and omnipotent, and didn't need any defending, has that theory changed over the years?

Well if your convinced you don't have to, guess there was no reason to ask this question. What you should be defending is your right to believe what you want, just as everyone else does.

I don't know why people would want to advocate and believe in something that they can't defend. That's basically and admittance that your belief is based on irrational thinking. Call me crazy, but when someone questions my beliefs, I like to be able to give answers that make logical sense.
