well it may vary, but the way we used to do it was cut a piece of the watermelon out and fill it with vodka and replace the removed piece. let it sit for a few hours and enjoy. however some people use everclear in place of vodka. just whatever your preference happens to be.

To spike a watermelon, you cut a "plug" out with a knife. The plug needs to be a couple of inches around, and needs to be cut clean so it will go back into the hole it was removed from. Pour in about 1/2 bottle on vodka, insert the plug, and refrigerate. You need to turn the melon on the ends to let the vodka saturate into the entire melon.

As has been said, you put some kind of alcoholic spirit into a watermelon via needle, cutting a whole and pouring in, or whatever works for you...you can probably find instructions online as well.

I've also known people to spike fruit such as chunks of various kinds of melon, grape halves,or any other kind of fruit that will absorb liquor...you can take the fruit and soak it in a bowl with your spirit of choice (everclear or vodka are the most popular I'm aware of) and after 24 hours or so you've got some fruit that'll knock you on your butt. ☺

It's tasty but don't gorge on it or you'll have consumed a lot of alcohol before you realize it...good party food though, especially if your guests will be staying overnight (not driving).

A watermelon that has been spiked with booze. Cut a plug about 1 inch in dia. force a funnel down into the melon and pour in your liquor of choice, I recommend Vodka. Replace the plug and chill until ready to serve.

Watermelon open a small hole like about 2" a around hollow out a bout 3" deep keep rine as cap... pour in what ever acohol you want for taste, ie; vodka and sprite. or rum and orange juice... to fill slowly let absorb over a couple hours then cut it like normal and people while eating it will enjoy the kick!!!

you cut open a watermelon at the top. gut a lot of it out - but not all of it. And then fill it with whatever you want, like Vodka, Gin, Rum or whatever. Maybe add some extra juices.

We used to cut a hole in it, save the piece you cut out to use as a cork, open a bottle of Vodka and put the open end in the hole and it will absorb into the melon,replace the "cork" and chill for 2hrs. Slice and eat. Why Vodka? It takes on the flavor of the melon.

I would cut a small hole, size of the vodka bottle top, and then stick the bottle in there until it all drains out. Yummy. I love alcohol goodies.
