I realize that this is suppose to be a sort of "gotcha question" I see here often, it is silly. First, you make the assumption that it never happened. Have you known every amputee from the beginning of the world till now? If not, you are assuming, you have no data or personal experience to prove that it never happened. I am not see He has or hasn't, I am making the point that if you are categorically going to say He hasn't ever done this, you have to prove it, otherwise, it is simple assumption.
Secondly, even if God healed one right in front of your eyes, and you have not been given the faith to believe, you will not believe. A good example of this is in John 5. Here, Jesus heals a lame man on the Sabbath. The Jewish leaders, seeing he was healed did not praise God for His healing or praise Jesus for healing the man or see Him as God, instead, they complained that the lame man was carrying his cot on the Sabbath!! Do you not understand this? A man was healed right before their eyes, and they still would not believe, and I am afraid, the same could be said for you and others here. Even if God performed a miracle right before you, you would not believe.

1st realize the flesh is not life, its just an item of travel. The same as a car. If you remove a mirror or a door, does the car stop working? No.
2nd realize we are all punished for what we do, everyone. Some might lose a job making them poor, others might have a miscarriage in turn losing a child. Others might gain cancer, others might lose a limb as in an arm or a leg. Others can even become blind or taken over by leprosy.
They are all punishments for what we have done. When one realizes that, one can get past the fact of the loss. If the loss was say due to war, then its clear of why they were punished. For G_D is strict when He states " thou shalt not kill ". He means it. So if you kill, well then He'll take something you love, normally the arm you prefer.
No different than a parent taking a child's favorite toy, stuffed animal or video game as punishment. But remember, flesh is not life, its just like a car or a toy, its material.
True life is inside.
Find the movie Hope by Willy Whitefeather to understand more on why not kill, how it comes back on us. Very enlightening.

Jesus said "Do not fear those who can hurt your body, but the one who can destroy your soul."
The body is a mere vessel. Lots of people have bodies that are crippled, and deformed, and yes, even amputees. God uses them as witnesses a lot. God is of the heart. That is the most important thing to Him. We are not our own. We were bought at a price. We belong to Him, and He uses us as He chooses.
God said He will heal whom He chooses to heal, and He will not heal whom He chooses not to heal.
If you are one of God's children, He does what's best for them, even though they may not even know it at the time.

If they weren't healed they would die of gangrene.
Limbs aren't replaced because that goes against the laws of physics. God does miracles to show that he is God. It would be a miracle of that sort if he were to restore a missing limb.
He knows whether or not it would make a difference in someone's life if they were to overcome losing a limb, and no one would lose a limb if there weren't a possibility of them knowing his grace and mercy through it. No matter how bad things are you can find the Lord by seeking him. He promised that if you seek you will find, and he is still there where he was when he promised we would find him if we seek him with our whole heart, mind, and soul.

As I told a previous poster, maybe He is trying to use the person as a witness FOR Him, not AGAINST Him. Instead of thinking about what they lost, they need to think about what they still have, their LIVES. Yes, they would pray to God for a new limb, but after God gave them what they wanted, they would forget about Him (unless they were Christians to begin with.) I think it's an awesome and powerful testimony that God brought them through it. God doesn't "hate" anyone.

This is the problem with expecting God to prove himself through miracles. He just can't do enough. As you admit, you hear of people being miraculously healed all the time. But that's not enough, we need one more big miracle, bigger than the last. *THEN* we'll believe.
That's why God doesn't do it. He knows it won't matter.

Aparently you are not listening to the correct sources. He heals amputees, gives life to the dead, and many others. If you aren't listening, how do you expect to hear.
