Baths are actually recommended during a chicken pox outbreak.
Give your daughter a luke warm bath- oatmeal bath helps.
I used my coffee grinder to grind up oatmeal to a fine powder and rubbed it on the pox- in the bath- to soothe the itching.
You can also use Aveeno Oatmeal bath- just check the age requirement.
Avoid any soaps as they can be harsh on the pox- and can even sting. (This is the one time other than water- I'd say let your child BE dirty!).
Let your daughter air dry- Place some calimine lotion on the oozing pox and put her in some light, cotton clothing, pjs. for comfort.
Keep the air temp of the home comfortable- not too hot- as HEAT will cause the pox to itch more~
It should clear up within a week. When pox crust over- they aren't as itchy- and YAY! they aren't contagious anymore!
Make sure to give your daughter a bath daily- once or twice a day with the chicken pox- until they crust over.
& Its great she has it now! She won't need the vaccine! =)

It's perfectly safe for her to take a bath. The warm water will most likely make her feel better. I know it did for my girls. Make the bath fun for her too. Give her some toys and bubbles and this would help take her mind off the itchiness for a little while. Chicken Pox are usually gone in a week so hang in there.

Yes, your daughter can have a bath, but don't make it too hot, as the heat will make it itch all the more. Once out of the bath, camomile lotion is very good for stopping those itches, just dab a small amount over her spots.

Put her into either a tepid bath with Aveeno oatmeal bath or baking soda. I don't understand why your doctor didn't tell you this. It helps sooth the itching also you can give her benidryl to help with the itching as well.

Yes just don't scrub her with a cloth since if you knock off the scabs before they are ready to fall off they can leave scars. A bath would make her feel so good. Give her several if you think it will help. Make sure you keep her lotioned up and covered up so she can't scratch at herself.
