I'm 11 5 ft 1/2 85 pounds ect... I will be turning twelve near halloween, which means with in the next couple years my BIG growth spurt awaits. I have a couple questions...

At my age what is the recomended calorie intake?

What foods should I eat to aid in growth?

Also what foods are most likely yo fuel you're body best during growth spurts, or make you taller , thanks.

Drink your three glasses of any milk a day. You eat your weight X15 to MAINTAIN. So if you weigh 85, you will maintain that weight by eating 85 X15=1275 calories a day. That's assuming you do a normal amount of exercise. I assume you want to gain weight. There are 3500 calories in a pound. So, get out the calculator, and figure out how many calories you want to eat a day. I recommend you eat a lot. There are no foods to make you taller. Your height depends on the height of your parents and their parents. But kids are growing taller these days, so you've just got to let nature take its course. E-mail me if you have any other questions. Good luck, kiddo! :)

Eating a balanced diet is the best way to go. try not to go crazy on a protein binge, or what not, because like it or not, your parents determine how tall you will be (genetics)...

Check out this link. Heck, print it off!!! Stay active, and eat WELL!! Good luck!

first, there are no foods that will change how tall you'll grow. that's set by the genes you inherited from your parents. eat healthy foods and get enough exercise to grow healthy.
