Can the 'I' see the 'I'?
Can the se-er see the seeing?
Can that which is observed be that which is observing?
Can the known be the knower?
Can the subject be the object?

If not, what are you, and can you ever know?

that knowing-presence which is aware of this words is your true self. its not opssible to 'see' or 'know' it. knowledge is only conceptual.you are not a concept-thought. you are beyond mind. it transcends knowing. It is beyond the ability of mind to analyze, to figure out, to dissect or to comprehend.
awareness or your true nature is self-aware. you don't have to do anything.you are the eternal subject-witness beyond thought.

NO. I Am the amness alone. Science proved that the eye doesn't see. There is only the act of seeing. Without the looker- nothing to observe. without the knower, What could BE known? There is no subject or object.

I like this kind of question...lol.

The short answer is: no.

"Consciousness" always consists of the Knower and the Thing Known, the Seer and the Thing Seen. Neither can exist independently; neither has any meaning save with reference to the other.

The goal of the "mysticisms" of every tradition is the union of the Knower and the Thing Known - the destruction of the illusion of the "Ego" as separate from the rest of the universe. But one could never be conscious of either of the two terms "in itself." Imagine a point-of-view with no view! Or the proverbial tree falling in the woods with nobody to observe it.

An even greater mystery is why people would thumb me down for this...lol. Apparently I should've talked about farts and poop.

"Duality is visioned by the seer. He sees the Presence. He sees, and seeing knows that he exists and likewise that which is seen."
"The knower blends the two in one. He sees the Presence as himself. He merges with its light. Behind the Presence gleams that awful radiance which shrouds the One and Only. Before the Presence stands the aspirant. Within the Presence, through the merging process, is peace, is union, the end of fear, the end of difference. . ."

That's a great question. I would have left it as is, without elaboration. It's more powerful that way.

"Empirical knowledge belongs to a lower state in which the Supreme cannot be perceived; therefore one cannot speak of 'knowing' the Supreme."
