There are tons of websites where you can complain about hotels, airlines, restaurants, etc. What about one where we as the workers can complain about the worst customers. Sometimes you get people that are just the absolute worst!!!

To the guy that said that we don't receive enough training, this rant is for you.
I have worked in customer service for 11 years. I have received some of the best training that the industry has to offer. I have trained an entire property in customer service. So don't give me some BS about not being trained.
When a guest flat out lies, with complete disregard to what may happen to the employee just to get some stupid compensation, that disgusts me.
When a guest says that it took 30 minutes to get checked in, that they had to yell for someone to come out and help and that the people out there didn't care, just so they get a comp night? Then, when the security tapes are checked and you can CLEARLY see that they were CHECKED IN in less than 5 minutes! If it weren't for the tapes, those employees may have been fired, but did the people care about that??
I know about smiling and taking it while taking care of the guest. My question was were I could vent, cause the crap I see is sad.

Yeah I know! Working in the service industry, you come across a**holes daily---I used to work in retail and had to deal with it all. I would love it if there were a website like that.

It's too bad that everyone in the service industry isn't given more training or any training on how to handle the difficult customer/client. There is a way to handle them that will cool them down quickly. Usually by being more than helpful and really listening to their problem and telling them that it is important to you that it is rectified helps the situation enormously. Telling them that if you can't help them with their problem you'll find someone who will, will calm them down considerably. Being very patient and very polite goes a long way in the service industry. There just isn't enough training in this area.
