scanning picture help!?

my friend scanned a picture onto her computer..and shes tryin to send it to me on MSN..but when i get it i cant open it..can someone please tell me how she can get it to where it will open..she said she cant even send it to like powerpoint or anything to resave it......

She needs to set her scanner to save the scanned file as a common type of file, like JPG or BMP (JPG preferred).

It's possible that your computers are not capable of opening the format that the scanner is creating. Perhaps it's a fax format or something else.

Some scanners create a file, but it's up to you to click the SAVE AS option to create a JPG.
