I've always thought it was weird how people are so self-conscious about wearing glasses. I didn't start wearing them until I was in the 8th grade, but it never bothered me. My friends joked around about how they made me look smarter, and that was the end of it. If people other than your friends say something stupid and immature (come on, "Four Eyes" is something 2nd graders say), don't sweat it. Their opinion shouldn't matter anyway. So, if someone says something stupid about wearing glasses, just act like a smart alec. "Gosh, I didn't realize how big your zits were until I put these on," or "Wow. Four eyes? What are you, seven?" Honestly, I don't think it's anything to worry about unless they smell the fear you have. So quit being afraid of wearing glasses. They're a staple for many high-fashion people. Check out all the celebrities that rock glasses rather than wear contacts. There are so many cute styles out there now that wearing glasses shouldn't be a big deal. Good luck with the new school!

In grade 6 people should be over the 4 eyes thing. Kids who do that are stupid because people wear glasses to see, its as simple as that. Don't let it bother you. Wear them because if u dont in a few years you'll have to use them all the time. for now its just reading, it's not a big deal. speaking from experience getting glasses in middle school is NOT a big deal.

What others think of your glasses is their problem, not yours. There are going to be at least two other students, and probably more in your class that should be wearing them and will not out of silly pride. Enjoy the fact that you can read and ignore the name callers and anyone who would make fun of something that most people will need at some point in their lives.

Have somebody else do it, that's plenty extra convenient. vivid easy, a great pair of tweezers and pull, do not push or pass it sideways. If it fairly is a protracted piece of glass, or there is a great sort of bleeding, go away it on my own and pass to the ER. (The glass could desire to be the only factor preserving decrease back a blood fountain.... :-) do not placed tension on it, not even a bandage. conceal it, via all skill, yet very gently

Well people called me that in school. I just totally ignored it. People I've went to school with have actually matured about the glasses thing when we got to high school. It really depends on the person though.
All I can say is hang tight. Chances are their is another girl with glasses you can be friends with. Good luck. =)

Oh don't worry, I got glasses in the first grade and nobody cared.
They'll just be like "Hey, nice glasses"
If they call you four-eyes, comment on how immature they are and walk away. Even if they do, they're just probably joking.

Don't do anything if you get called names. Just remember that while they are calling you names you are going to be able to see what you are reading which is only going to make it easier for you to get better grades in the long run.

I can only hope that the kids in 6th grade will be more mature then use the lame old "four eyes" comment.
Just ignore it if it happens.. report any bullies to a teacher.
