Why should they? It's what they believe. You aren't an authority who has the right to force anyone to justify anything.

There is no reason to justify my faith to you or anyone else, but through Study, pondering, and prayer I have gained me a conformation from the Holy Ghost that:

1) The Book of Mormon is exactly what it claims to be.
2) Joseph Smith Jr. Was a prophet and the instrument in the Has of God to bring about the Restoration of all things spoken about in the NT.
3) That the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints IS the restoration of the organization of the church that Jesus set up when he walked the Earth.
4) That the Priesthood has been restored even thought a lot of people didn't realize that it was missing.
5) That Jesus is the Christ the Son of the Living God (this should be #1, but at the time I figured that people would naturally know this...but then realized that most likely they wouldn't) and that He has a body of Flesh and Bone like His Heavenly Father and that the Holy Ghost has a body of Spirit only. (This is a big deal because I've always had a problem with the trinity)

Very simply put...I have gained a testimony that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is Christ's Church restored to the Earth in the Latter Days.

Also, if you posted this tomorrow, you will probably get more replys...I'm home with sick children...that is why I answered.

The Mormon church makes the grand claim that they are the one true church restored by god and only they have the authority to baptize or ordain. That's a very bold statement to make, so the immediate response to that is "Prove it" - or justify why all the other church's clergy and congregations are now wrong just because Joseph Smith 'said so"?

So the statement "Justify your belief" goes well beyond them to verify what they belief in, but also why they have, by default, leveled a larger criticism upon the rest of the world?

Let me just say that you have amazingly bad timing. At least half of the active Latter-day Saints on earth are in Church right now. most of the other half are asleep. Though apparently so are the persecutors, because I know there would normally be a whole bunch of bashing on this question.

To answer your question, I've included my own three step process to success.

1) Pray about the Book of Mormon (that's how they get you, you know)

2) Don't try to disprove it with philosophy, or try to avoid receiving an answer

3) Feel the Spirit of God (Gal. 5:22-23) and allow it to convert you.

Anyone who follows this three step path to spiritual success, will soon find themselves owning a beautiful mansion with a gorgeous view.

Heavenly Father loves us. He sent his only Begotten Son to redeem us through the atonement. His message and doctrine was changed through the ages. In the same manner He always has, he has communicated to us through prophets. He restored His priesthood, and brought new light and knowledge to the world.

Gosh, don't be so tough on him/her just for asking the question. He/she could be on the verge of converting to the LDS church and just wanted to know how others thought about the teachings.
The question probably could have been asked in a better way if that was the case, but you never know, do you?

What do you mean, "justify" my belief? I believe. God said it, I believe it, that's that, and that'll be that and that's the end of that.

You first -- Justify your beliefs in whatever.

It's true. I want to believe everything that is true. We all should believe what is true. When we believe in the truth our beliefs are justified.

The Holy Spirit tells me it is true.
