I was in long-term foster care, but I'm grown now. On MySpace, my former foster nephew turned down my friend request. When my former foster mom (his biological grandmother). My former foster sister asked me why he's not on my friend's list. I said, "I don't know." & my former foster mom got mad @ me & they both said at the same time, "WTF does he wanna add you for & you're his AUNTIE!?" & my former foster sister just set me up to get yelled at so she can laugh at me.

My response was, "Well, other foster family members have added me." But, they think that you have to LITERALLY be people's friend to add them. (On MySpace, adding someone as a friend is the same as adding someone here on Y!A as a "contact"). Shoot! I have plenty of foster & biological relatives on my friend's list.

& my former foster mom also falsely accused me of being an internet predator, just because my former foster nephew is still a teen. He was the 1st newborn I've ever bonded with. We grew up with this boy. I'm an adult. But I have teen foster & biological family members who added me on MySpace. I use MySpace to keep in contact with everyone since we're all spread apart since Hurricane Katrina. I can't see my family.

That's awful that they're saying that to you. I have a couple teens on my list that I don't even know. But it's all good.

If they choose not to add you that is their problem. It sucks, but maybe it's for the best.

BTW I have a Myspace for people I know plus another Myspace for family and people I used to know so no one will get offended if I don't add them (I'll add them to the decoy account: old friends/family). He should have come up with that idea ;)

They are being just awful to you. These people are sick to talk to you this way.

Of course it would be appropriate for him to add you. He may be doing or posting some stuff he doesn't want you to know about though (out of respect for you).

It is not my business, sweetie, but maybe you should talk to these people less and less. They don't sound as if they are good for you or to you.
