my 3 year old siamese cat has recently found an interest in water. when im in the shower, he gets on the ledge of the tub and puts his paws in the stream. when i get out of the shower, he licks my legs.i have come home to the kitchen sink being left on, and as it turns out, he is pushing up on the facet!
he has plenty of water to drink, although i catch him drinking from the toilet a lot.
btw, i had him vet checked with bloodwork and all, and he is healthy.

LOL!!! This is just part of his personality. That's so cute! I have a Maine Coon cat that does something strange too...she can't drink water unless one of her paws is floating on the top of the water she's drinking. So here she is drinking water with a paw on top of it! But whats really funny is the fact that afterwords she gets mad that her paw is wet and refuses to walk on it until it gets dry again. So then she'll go limping through the house. I think another thing is, you have a Siamese. They have such personality's! I have another cat that is a Himalayan which is half Siamese and I've never seen a cat with more of a personality in my life and I've seen lots of cats! But back to my Maine Coon...she loves water as well. Not taking baths, but anything else. I did have an aquarium for her but I couldn't keep her from getting on top of it and drinking out of it so I had to get rid of it! That's a cat for you! Your cat sounds very cute!!!

My cat did the same things. I think he loved seeing and drinking the moving water and I think he liked the toilet water because it might have been cooler than the water in his bowl. If this is a problem for you, you might try getting a water dish that has continuously recirculating flowing water. My cat loves this kind of water dish and soon after we got it he no longer drank out of the toilet, the tub, or the sink, otherwise it's just normal cat behavior.

i had a cat when i was younger who would actually get in the tub with me when i was taking a shower. my cat now also drinks from the toilet. i think because it is used frequently and has a supply of fresh cool water is the reason he does it. just make sure you don't have any deodorizers that stay in the bowl or the back reservoir, and to keep him out of it for at least the day after cleaning it so he wont ingest the toxic cleaners.

My cat wants in the shower and sits and meows and puts his paw on the shower door when I am in there wanting in. He is so goofy. If I am in the tub he wants to dip his feet in there and then lick the water off. He does not attempt to drink from the tolit, but he weights 25lbs. so he is no little kitty.

visit catchannel.com there is a link to a really funny video a person took of his cat flushing the toilet. i laughed so hard i cried!! but my oldest cat isn't afraid of water either, she often times joins me in the bathroom to lick my legs, and when she needs a bath i take her in with me,give her her bath, then hand her out to my husband who dries her. i then stand up, take a shower and am done. my cats have a cat fountain for their water because they all seem to enjoy drinking water from the running stream. plus one of my cats has a habit of sticking his paw in the water and then licking it off. cats are such characters!!

haha. I don't think it's a matter of health. Most dogs don't like water either. If there's one that does it's not because he's unhealthy. It sounds like she likes running water. Maybe one way to help her curiosity it to buy one of those water bowls that circulates the water to help keep it fresh. It has a spout on it and it might interest her.
Best wishes.
