budgie is dull and listless staying at bottom of cage it has a swollen eye with small feather loss around the eye and a blocked cere, she has been sitting with her tail in the air quite alot.have noticed a bad smell too. i have removed her from the cage she was in with the male budgie and i have treated with ivectmin incase it could be mites this is the first time i have seen her so poorly.

She doesn't sound well at all, I would take her to a vet as birds can die really quickly when they are ill, from shock alone, at least call the vet and get advice, now. If you don't have a vet, call the RSPCA for advice, they will tell you what is the best thing to do. Sounds like you have done all the right things so far. Best of luck, I hope its nothing serious.

the fact that she was sitting with her tail up, to me, and the fact that she is not well, and staying down below kinda says that she is egg bound. best thing you can do is get her warm, say up into the 25-26 range, and place a bit of olive oil in her water until you are able to get her to the vets, but she needs to get to a vet ASAP, as otherwise she may not have long left, egg bound birds uaully meet their demise within 48 hours so time is of the essence

Take it to an avian vet immediately! That is, if it isnt dead already.

How old is she ? it seems that she has caught a chill ! keep her seperate from her mate some where warm and feed her on some soaked sprouting seed.but honestly I don't think there is much hope.Sorry.
